Be Proactive. Don’t let trauma ruin your relationship

1. Speak up. Explain what you’re going through – don’t just suggest solutions. Talk about the thoughts and feelings confusing you.

2. Ask for help. Your partner does’nt know what to do for you so tell him or her what you’ll find helpful under the circumstances.

3. Get conselling. Go for counselling together so your partner can also process his or her feelings about you and the crime.
