1. Keep a gratitude journal focusing on what you have in your life. It helps to see that life is not all doom and gloom and that you have a lot to be thankful for.
2. Surround yourself with positive people who see the glass as half-full rather than half-empty. They will uplift you when you feel despondent.
3. Don’t listen to other people’s crime stories. All they do is raise your anxiety and make you believe that if it is happening to others you might be next.
